Help keys for playing
In addition to playing notes on the computer keyboard, other keys can help us control the program during performance. Hold your fingers pressed on the number keys above, and using thumbs of both hands, you can control the following components:
The keys R T D G X B allow you to change rhythms or atmosphere sounds, when one of these windows is open. Simply press the key, according to the location of the desired rhythm or sound, on the screen (the upper right sound on the screen, for instance, is controlled by the upper right key - T), and your selection will be played - try it!
C and V keys are used for browsing maqamat - right and left (from sad to happy - see smiley images on either side...)
The F key uses (much like pressing the bicycle icon) for switching to the maqam closest to the one you are currently playing. This way you can switch to a different maqam while playing a taqsim. The close maqamat here were learnt from Arab musicians who stick to traditional transitions between maqamat.
